ViDA readiness for Oracle

ViDA is coming. Your Oracle data can be ready today.

ViDA (VAT in the Digital Age) makes e-invoicing the default in the EU and replaces EC Sales Lists with near-real-time digital reporting for intra-EU trade from 1 July 2030. The building blocks you need are already live in itax4apps.

What ViDA changes

E-invoicing becomes the default

From 1 July 2030, intra-EU B2B invoices must be structured e-invoices in the EU standard, issued within 10 days. A PDF is no longer an e-invoice.

EC sales lists are replaced by digital reporting

Intra-EU transactions are reported to the tax authority within days, invoice by invoice.

Countries move first

Since April 2025, member states may introduce domestic e-invoicing without EU approval. Existing national systems must converge with the EU model by 2035.

ViDA also changes platform economy rules and VAT registration from 2028. These do not depend on your ERP data and are not covered here.

Reconcile before sending

Every invoice and figure is reconciled with Oracle before it is filed, reported or sent.

Live today

E-invoicing in 13 countries

Structured B2B e-invoices, inbound and outbound, via Peppol and national platforms such as SdI, KSeF and e-Factura.

Roadmap

ViDA digital reporting for intra-EU trade

Roadmap, ahead of 1 July 2030: replacing EC Sales Lists, built on the same reconciled data set.

Because your VAT return, audit file, e-reports and e-invoices come from one reconciled data set, you can also check a prefilled VAT return the day it arrives.

ViDA readiness check

A 30-minute session with a 4apps expert. We review:

  • your legal entities and countries against the mandate timeline
  • your Oracle Tax Engine setup for intra-EU and reverse charge flows
  • the completeness of invoice data in Oracle AR and AP for e-invoicing

You receive a short readiness overview afterwards.

ViDA questions

When does ViDA start?

The ViDA package entered into force on 14 April 2025. E-invoicing and digital reporting for intra-EU B2B transactions start on 1 July 2030. Many countries introduce domestic mandates earlier; see the timeline.

Do I need a new e-invoicing provider for ViDA?

Not with itax4apps. E-invoicing, e-reporting, VAT filing and audit files run in one application on the same reconciled Oracle data.

Is my Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP or Oracle EBS ready for ViDA?

Oracle records the transactions, but ViDA asks for correct tax codes, complete invoice data and reporting within days. etax4apps sets up the tax determination; itax4apps reconciles, reports and exchanges the data. A readiness check shows where you stand.

What happens to EC Sales Lists?

From 1 July 2030 they are replaced by digital reporting of each intra-EU transaction. itax4apps produces EC Sales Lists today and will move to ViDA digital reporting on the same data set.
